Care & Purpose
Beauty made with care, faith and family at its heart.
Welcome to Arise and Shine Cosmetics!
Founded by Natasha Briscoe, Arise and Shine Cosmetics is more than just a beauty brand it’s a personal mission inspired by family and faith. What began as a way to create safe, natural products for her children has grown into a range of hair care solutions that embrace and celebrate the beauty of African-Caribbean hair.
Our products are crafted with the finest ingredients to nourish, hydrate, and protect your hair naturally. Whether you’re looking to promote growth, reduce breakage, or simply enhance your hair’s natural beauty, we have the perfect product for you.
Natural beauty begins with understanding your crown.
Arise and Shine Cosmetics started as an answer to prayer so that Natasha Briscoe could generate an income to stay in the home and home educate her children. Her son became lactose intolerant and she became very careful about what products she would give to her family.
After being shocked by so many unnecessary and poor quality ingredients in her hair products, she decided to create her own hair care range. Research began in 2006 and in 2008, after training in Cosmetic Legislation, the first products were certified for public benefit.
“We saw the need among African-Caribbean women to embrace their glory before it became a widely appreciated belief that natural is not only best, but beautiful too.”

Our body does not see the food we eat as lentils, orange, lasagne or yam. It views every food nutritionally and it is this nutrition that enables us to grow and to repair any damage.
Water
We now know how great water is on the outside of our hair: it cleanses and serves as an excellent moisturiser. When we take a cool bath and drink it, water contributes to good.
Exercise
It’s obvious! Exercise helps to circulate the blood and oxygen around the body. Exercise in the open air is best. Oxygenated blood brings life and good blood, full of nutrients, to the hair.
Sunlight
Known to be life giving, sunlight also kills most bacteria on the skin, and as the scalp is still skin a little sunlight on it would do it some good. In England there are many sufferers of Vitamin D.

London
The Rosemary and Sage Spritz is my go to product. It offers moisture which my hair loves. It has a natural smell which is differet to my normal fragranced sprays but my hair feels good with it and I use it before I put any other product on it.
Lord Grey Academy
One student with afto hair had no clue how to look after her hair and neither did her family. She would come to school with it looking unkept which impacted her confidence. Since attending the workshop she has had the confidence to try new styles and is able to manage it better. She received a lot of positive comments about this new hair and her smile told it all.
